Scott Latterell
Founder and CEO
Scott brings 30 years of experience in the medical device market, including over 15 years focused specifically on urology. As the Director of Urology for Gyrus Medical, he orchestrated the launch and advancement of bipolar plasma technology as the new industry standard for BPH surgical care and established Gyrus as a market leader. While with KARL STORZ Endoscopy America, Scott led the urology business to become its largest, most profitable specialty with $110M in annual sales.

Craig Swandal
Senior Strategic Advisor and Board Member
Craig’s extensive executive management experience includes more than 20 years in the medical device industry, with a focus on global manufacturing strategy and execution. As a senior executive for Gyrus Medical, Craig managed the development of Gyrus’ bipolar plasma system and was integral to the successful acquisition and integration of ACMI, including their extensive portfolio of urology-specific products. He was also a key player in the successful sale of Gyrus ACMI to Olympus for $2.2B.

George Harter
Board Member
George brings 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including 20 as CFO for medical technology companies. He has extensive startup domain experience in company structuring, fundraising, team-building, financial management, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. Prior to these roles, he served as Division Controller for Boston Scientific’s San Jose, CA, franchise following a decade with Northrop Grumman in senior operations and treasury assignments.

Chris Smith
Senior Strategic Advisor
Chris is an executive with more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare sector. As CEO of Gyrus Medical, he oversaw implementation of the market-leading bipolar BPH technology, customer-centric product development and Lean concepts. During this period, Gyrus Medical expanded operating profit from 16% to 27% and grew revenue from $15M to $45M. More recently, Chris served as CEO of Cochlear Limited from 2015-18, where he doubled the company’s market cap, adding over $5B in shareholder value.

Dr. Ricardo Gonzalez
Medical Advisory Board Member
Dr. Gonzalez is an academic faculty member at Houston Methodist Hospital with faculty affiliations at Texas A&M and Baylor College of Medicine. He is an internationally recognized expert in surgical therapies for BPH, including GreenLight laser vaporization of the prostate, enucleation, Rezum, Urolift, Aquablation and others. Previously, he served as the Medical Director for the Centers for Voiding Dysfunction and Clinical Research at Houston Metro Urology.

Dr. Gregg Eure
Medical Advisory Board Member
Dr. Eure is Chairman of the Urology of Virginia Research Department and a member of the International Medical Educational Board. He is an internationally recognized and respected leader in the research of new BPH treatments and he is widely regarded as an expert in the use of GreenLight laser vaporization of the prostate. He is active in BPH clinical research and has been an investigator in numerous clinical trials advancing minimally invasive treatments.

Astrid Berthe
Senior Strategic Advisor, Quality and Regulatory
Astrid brings more than 25 years of management, leadership and technical experience focusing on quality systems, regulatory compliance, engineering, manufacturing operations and regulatory affairs. Astrid currently serves as the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at 2C Tech. Prior to that, she held similar roles with both Oraya Therapeutics and ATS Medical. She has also held leadership positions at Baxter Healthcare, Medtronic and Isotis Orthobiologics.
